Another one of the strong Irish Chicklit writing contingent, Cecelia Aherne began her literary career at the early age of 21 with the publication of PS, I Love You. The movie rights were subsequently bought by Warner Bros and it is currently in production and will be released in 2007 starring top actress Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler. Since then Cecilia seems to deliver a book a year, and her second book Where Rainbows End reached no.1 in Ireland and the UK, and was at the top of the Irish bestsellers list for 12 weeks. Her third book If You Could See Me Now was published in November 2005 and also became an international bestseller. It was optioned by Walt Disney Pictures for development. Finally, Cecelia was nominated for Best Newcomer 2004/5 at the British Book Awards (Nibbies) for her debut novel "PS, I Love You."
