Christopher Paolini wrote the first of this series of books at the age of 15. Eragon has now been made into a film starring Jeremy Irons, John Malkovitch and Robert Carlyle. He is forced to run away from home by evil king Galbatorix, with an old story teller and mentor called Brom. With his greatest companion Saphira the Dragon, he sets off an an adventure where he will encounter Shades and Ra'zacs and the rebellious Varden on his quest to destroy the evil King. 9/10, reviewed by Felix Hockey, aged 10. Eragon's cousin Roran has to fight a new battle in Carvahall, and Eragon has to go to Ellesmera to complete his training. at last Eragon learns about his family, but now he wishes he hadn't. I can't wait to read the third and final book to see if Katrina survives and what path leads for Murtagh. 10/10, Felix Hockey aged 10. |
