 Helen Fielding was born in Northern England in a town called Morley in the heart of Yorkshire. Helen is the second of four children, her father a mill manager and her mother a homemaker.Helen studied English at Oxford University and after graduating in 1979, she focused on becoming a writer. After publishing Cause Celeb Helen shot to stardom as the creator of Bridget Jones' Diary. Helen says " Everyone was writing about politics, and I was writing about why you can't find a pair of panty-hose in the morning and losing weight".  Bridget Jones' The Edge Of Reason.
