If your teenager is pulling faces at the usual London attractions, then it might be time to put The London Bridge Experience on the list. Voted the UK's 'best year round scare attraction', the London Bridge Experience and the London Tombs are two attractions in one...and definitely an experience to remember. You begin your visit with a Horrible History style tour that takes in the history of London Bridge and old London. You learn at close quarters about the reality of being hung, drawn and quartered, and the bloody history that surrounds Boadicea, but its not long before your guide asks who would like to leave the tour and avoid the infamous Tombs beneath. Once the nervous have departed you are then taken down into the Tombs for what we agreed was one of the scariest experiences we have had for a long time. Without going into too much detail, as we wouldn't want to spoil things, let's just say the initial squeals of nervous laughter soon turn into peals of terror as you and your group make your way through passages of darkness, horror and anticipation that is enough to send some people flying for the doors half way through. Guides are on hand to soothe and whisk the terrified away at any stage, but for the brave it's an adventure to remember for a long, long time. There is a family-friendly tour suitable for younger members. The full tour is suitable for over 12s and adults who think they are brave enough to accompany them.
