 Stephanie Meyer has written a lot of books that have been enjoyed by both teenagers and adults, mostly girls but some boys have read them too. Three of her books have been turned into films and will shortly be turning into four. Twilight  Twilight is probably Stephanie’s most famous book. The first book of The Twilight Saga. Read worldwide and has been made into a great movie. This is about a girl who goes to live with her dad in Forks, a small town in America. She makes great friends but her curiosity gets the better of her and she has to know about the strange Cullen family . In doing this she discovers a huge secret that she cannot tell anyone. By doing so she could put them all in danger. The book has a mysterious atmosphere and is also quite romantic. I really enjoyed this book because, although it’s incredibly romantic it isn’t all about the romance. There are other things going on at the same time which makes things a whole lot more interesting. New Moon  Buy Now! New Moon is the sequel to Twilight, and again an amazing book. It has also been made in to a wonderful movie. It’s got the same characters. Bella feels extremely lonely when she finds herself alone. She changes and becomes a kind of shell, where even her friends don’t really want to be around her anymore, until she finds someone she can be the old Bella with again. I enjoyed this book less than Twilight because, Twilight is about discovering new things whereas this book is about wanting to be with someone you know you can’t be with, but still willing to do anything to be near enough with them. Eclipse  Buy Now! Eclipse is an absolutely amazing film and book. Personally I prefer the book, but I always do. Bella finds herself against her old enemy. Two very different species who are normally huge enemies decide to join together in order to protect Bella. Bella doesn’t want either of them to fight and protect he, she doesn’t want to have to feel guilty for their injuries and their loses. When I first read this book I absolutely loved it. I found it full of action and mixed with romance. The plot was extremely entertaining and I’ve read it about ten times since. Breaking Dawn  Buy Now! Breaking Dawn is one of my absolute favourite books! It would probably be third in my top five. When the film comes out I am positive that it’s going to be great just like the others. After Bella’s wedding everyone is certain that she’s going to die, apart from Bella who believes that she’s strong enough, no one else agrees. Again the two different species join together, and again it’s to protect Bella. They are forced to fight against the people that they know from past centuries. This is my favourite out of the whole saga. It’s exciting and makes you want to read to read on. It brings the series to a wonderful ending in which you couldn’t ask for it to be any different. I’ve read this book a lot more times than any of the others and will probably continue to do so. The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner  Buy Now! The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner is a simply amazing book. It shows a second view of the happenings in Stephanie Meyer’s other book Eclipse. Bree Tanner gets turned into another creature, one that she didn’t think even existed. This story explains how the whole thing actually worked. She gets pulled into a crowd and tricked into something she probably wouldn’t have done if she were still human. In doing so it creates the story of Eclipse. I enjoyed this book so much because, it explained how everything worked. It filled in the gaps that were left behind from Eclipse. Also it’s incredibly interesting as you don’t actually see how a newborn’s mind works in The Twilight Saga. The Host  Buy Now! The Host has absolutely nothing to do with The Twilight Saga. It’s a whole different story. And again an absolutely amazing book. Wanderer is from another planet, the humans hide from her kind. But true to her name, she wonders off. The Humans are convinced she’s trying to lead the rest of her kind to try and kill them. I love this book. It would be fourth out of my top five. It’s incredibly exciting and unpredictable. You don’t know what’s going to happen in the end, yet you really want to know. This book was so hard to put down. |
