The American Dream

Q. What do members of wealth coaching company The Money Gym have in common with new US President Barack Obama?

A. They are living proof that “The American Dream” is still alive and kicking.

The money Gym coaches are looking for people who are keen to turn their own American Dream into reality. What is the American Dream? That ANYBODY, no matter who you are, what sex you are, what colour you are, how poor you are, that ANYBODY can look at their life, turn it around and make a success of themselves. If you are willing to work hard, to do what many are not willing to do, to educate yourself and take responsibility for you, your life and your actions and outcomes, you CAN MAKE IT.

Whilst Obama is probably the highest profile proof of this, even us Brits have our own version of the dream. Singer Seal recently appeared on UK television talking about how the election of Barack Obama was sending a message around the world that the "American Dream" is alive and well and that anyone can seize it for themselves and make it their own, no matter who they are.

Indeed, Seal’s rise is also a great example of that dream in action. Seal, famous for his good looks and scarred face, has just released an album of classic soul songs that he grew up with, listening to the radio while his mother worked at her kitchen table as a wigmaker, in Brixton. Now he's one of the most highly paid and respected artists in the world, happily married to Heidi Klum, the international supermodel, with three beautiful children, living in the America he dreamed of, as a child.

And client after client of The Money Gym are making their own dreams come true – from ex Ward sister Claire Westwood of www.happynurses.co.uk whose coaching business is beginning to turn into a reality, with over 1200 nurses signed up to her newsletter, to Lorraine Armstrong who bought her company www.ShareTheDream.co.uk from another Money Gym Client, serial entrepreneur Debbie Bissett who then went on to found another successful business www.InvigorateRecruitment.co.uk as well as investing in property.

But what does it take to make your dreams come true? Founder of The Money Gym, Nicola Cainrcross has these five tips for holding onto your dream and turning it into reality:

1. Know that “if it’s to be, it’s up to me” because nobody is going to do it for you.
2. Make time to make money – you are going to have to carve out a couple of hours a week away from the TV to make your dream come true.
3. Be brave, find out where you are now financially. If you don’t’ know where you are, you can’t plan where you are going.
4. Remember they didn’t teach this stuff at school – you will need to be willing to educate yourself about wealth creation.
5. Get support – the majority of people in this country only think in terms of a job or a pension. Find like-minded souls to work with.

The Money Gym is a one year programme that teaches participants a solid and proven way of creating wealth, with a choice of ways to suit your personality. These could be a choice of, or a combination of high risk, high return investment, solid bricks and mortar, or building a business that you can sell or use to set you up for life.

The Money Gym has helped hundreds of people along the road to financial independence (and created some millionaires along the way). There are three membership levels – silver, gold and platinum. Membership starts at £27.50 per month.
